Prospera Talent Agency’s client is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to manage, monitor, and support the enterprise IT systems and infrastructure. This role is crucial in ensuring the security, reliability, and efficiency of all company processes. In addition to core IT responsibilities, the Systems Administrator will be involved in vendor management, exploring new technologies, and contributing to the development of the IT department.
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and manage cloud-based and on-premises IT infrastructure, including Active Directory (on-prem and Azure), Windows Server (2016 and 2019), Exchange Hybrid 2019, Hyper-V, and SharePoint Online.
- Monitor and maintain server performance, apply patches, and deploy virtual machines using Hyper-V.
- Manage user accounts, configure access controls, and synchronize systems between on-premises and cloud environments.
- Respond to system alerts, troubleshoot issues, and resolve technical problems efficiently.
- Oversee domain management, including main domains, subdomains, and acquired entity domains.
- Provide Level 3 technical support, resolving complex technical issues, and mentoring helpdesk teams.
- Schedule and apply system updates, including major patches and Windows updates.
- Implement and test disaster recovery plans, including regular data backups.
- Conduct security audits, assess vulnerabilities, and implement cybersecurity policies to mitigate risks.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to enhance system performance and reliability.
- Lead system migrations and integration of new entities.
- Create and maintain system documentation, user guides, and technical specifications.
- Explore and implement AI technologies to optimize IT systems and processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- At least 4 years of experience with Active Directory, Domain Controllers, Windows Server (2016 and 2019), Exchange Hybrid 2019, and Hyper-V.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Azure AD, SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365 Admin Center, and Cisco Meraki.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Knowledge of MFA solutions (Cisco DUO preferred) and backup platforms (e.g., Rubrik).
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve advanced technical issues under tight deadlines.
- Experience in cybersecurity and the ability to respond to and address security alerts.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, provide remote support, and address urgent issues outside regular hours.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
